"Bug Races" draws on influence from the late great jazz legend who we recently lost, Ahmad Jamal. In this beautiful tribute, Spero, Dorsey and Fung stroll gracefully down a path paved by epic recordings such as Live at the Pershing. The interplay of the trio gifts the listener with unlikely interwoven counterpoint and graceful melodic exploration from both Spero and Dorsey, while Fung holds down a groove that makes you want to sit back in your chair and let the stresses of life fall off your shoulders.
